Theatre Orderlies/ Patient Care Assistants Recruitment Pool.

About the Role

Aegis Health is seeking dedicated Theatre Orderlies to join our Perioperative Services team. This role is essential to the safe and efficient delivery of patient care by providing vital physical assistance logistical support and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the Operating Theatre suite.

Position Objectives

The Theatre Orderly provides direct support to clinical staff (Doctors Nurses and Health Professionals) by undertaking a range of duties:

Patient Assistance and Transfer

Logistics and Equipment Management

Infection Control and Environmental Cleaning

About You

You will need to hold the following accreditation skills and working rights:

  • Formal qualification or extensive experience in endoscopy reprocessing or sterilisation services with strong knowledge of OH&S manual handling and hazard management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles and reprocessing guidelines.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement quality assurance and availability to work across morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to take initiative work self-motivated and effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving analytical abilities and effective communication (written and verbal).
