This is a great opportunity to be part of the worlds largest bulk export port authority encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton Dampier Port Hedland and Varanus Island and five future port sites. The Terminal Operations Principal West will provide leadership direction and guidance to ensure the effective delivery of all Terminal operations at the Port of Dampier and Port of Ashburton.
The Terminal Operations Principal West is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of port operations terminal management and cargo handling activities and ensures the consistent efficient and reliable execution of Terminal services supporting safe and high-quality outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
The role reports to the Terminal Operations Manager West.
About You

You are an experienced operational leader with a strong background in port and/or marine environments and a proven ability to oversee complex terminal operations in a safety-critical setting. You lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe efficient and reliable cargo operations across general project and bulk trades.
You are motivated by operational excellence and continuous improvement with the ability to plan coordinate and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.
You are a highly effective communicator who builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including port users and regulators. With a sound understanding of legislative and organisational requirements you confidently ensure compliance across safety risk and environmental obligations.
