Job Summary

We are partnering with MLAHMC Ltd previously operating as Mid Lachlan Aboriginal Housing to find the Dubbo team a Tenancy and Customer Service Officer. MLAHMC Ltd is the largest Aboriginal Community Housing Provider in New South Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and community-focused person to provide front-line customer service and administrative support to tenants applicants and community members.

You will:

  • Be the first point of contact for tenant enquiries.
  • Provide reception telephone and email support.
  • Maintain accurate tenant records and files.
  • Assist with tenancy administration and correspondence.
  • Coordinate appointments and support tenancy staff.
  • Record refer and escalate enquiries appropriately.
  • Contribute to culturally safe and responsive service delivery.

You will have:

  • Good administration and computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Commitment to Aboriginal communities and culturally safe practice.

Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience providing quality customer service to a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  2. Demonstrated administrative skills including recordkeeping filing data entry and document preparation.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  4. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and database systems.
  6. Understanding of confidentiality privacy and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow established procedures.
  8. Aboriginality this is an identified position under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
  9. Current National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
