As the Telephony & UC Analyst you will play a key role in understanding and optimising Calvarys telephony and unified communications environment across all sites. You will analyse voice services usage costs contracts and assets to identify opportunities for efficiency and develop a clear strategy for transitioning legacy telephony services to a modern Microsoft Teams-based cloud telephony solution.
You will support the planning and delivery of telephony migrations service porting decommissioning and new activations working closely with technology service delivery change and site stakeholders to minimise disruption to users and clinical operations. Through analysis reporting and stakeholder engagement you will help deliver a more efficient cost-effective and modern communications environment across Calvary.
- Telephony Discovery & Asset Management Audit and maintain a centralised register of telephony assets platforms carriers SIP/ISDN/PSTN services contact centres fax emergency duress and lift phones across all sites.
- Service Ownership & Contracts Document service ownership support arrangements vendor relationships contractual commitments and renewal requirements.
- Voice Consumption & Billing Analysis Analyse telecommunications invoices carrier agreements service utilisation call volumes and monthly spend across sites and business units.
- Optimisation & Cost Management Identify unused or redundant services analyse DID utilisation and recommend opportunities to reduce costs and improve service efficiency.
- Transition & Migration Planning Develop and execute telephony transition strategies including service decommissioning porting new activations and low-impact migration approaches.
- Telco Porting & Service Changes Prepare porting documentation and coordinate telecommunications service activations migrations and porting events with carriers and internal teams.
- Change Management & Communications Work with change and service delivery teams to assess user impacts and coordinate communications for telephony transitions and decommissioning activities.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement Provide status and transition reporting engage with site clinical and technology stakeholders and recommend improvements to user experience and operational efficiency.
Essential
- Demonstrated experience (5 years) in telecommunications unified communications or technology service analysis with a strong understanding of PABX IP telephony SIP trunking carrier services and number management.
- Proven ability to conduct technology discovery asset audits and service inventory assessments across complex multi-site environments.
- Experience analysing telecommunications invoices contracts and service utilisation data to identify cost optimisation rationalisation and service improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated capability in planning and supporting technology transitions or migrations including dependency analysis risk identification and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong analytical documentation and communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for business and technology stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone Operator Connect Direct Routing or other cloud telephony platforms.
- Knowledge of WAN SD-WAN QoS and network readiness considerations for voice services.
- Experience within healthcare or other large multi-site organisations.
- ITIL Foundation Agile Prince2 or equivalent project delivery experience.
- Relevant qualification in Telecommunications Information Technology or a related discipline.
