This expansion enables us to deploy robust solutions across Australias most demanding operational more through BAI360 our virtual tour EXPLORE THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician DMR Specialist to join our growing Critical Communications this role you will be responsible for the installation configuration commissioning maintenance and support of Motorola MOTOTRBO Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) systems ensuring reliable secure and high-performance communications for customers operating in critical and challenging across a variety of projects and industries you will deploy and support advanced radio networks including IP Site Connect Capacity Plus Capacity Max and associated applications while providing technical expertise across RF infrastructure subscriber equipment and network Responsibilities:System Installation & CommissioningInstall configure and commission Motorola MOTOTRBO repeaters subscriber radios system servers and and support DMR architectures including IP Site Connect Capacity Plus Capacity Max and TRBOnet radio terminals and infrastructure using Motorola Radio Manager (RM) and Customer Programming Software (CPS).Install and align RF equipment antennas feeder systems and associated & MaintenancePerform preventative and corrective maintenance on DMR infrastructure and subscriber system performance and conduct RF and network RF hardware software and IP networking firmware upgrades patch management and hardware IntegrationConfigure voice and data networks using Motorola MOTOTRBO DMR systems with IP backhaul microwave networks and dispatch customer applications including GPS tracking telemetry and text messaging Support & DocumentationProvide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to customers and operational programming records technical documentation and configuration commissioning reports and as-built & SafetyEnsure compliance with ACMA licensing requirements and industry WHS requirements and cybersecurity best safe work practices across metropolitan regional and remote HEAR ABOUT YOUYou are a technically capable communications professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering high-quality customer will bring:Certificate or Diploma in Telecommunications Electronics or related 3 years experience in radio communications hands-on experience with Motorola MOTOTRBO DMR knowledge of MOTOTRBO system architecture deployment and with SLR5500 SLR8000 or similar repeater understanding of RF propagation antenna systems duplexers and of IP networking fundamentals including routing switching VLANs and to interpret RF path profiles schematics and technical troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving communication and stakeholder engagement drivers licence and willingness to travel to regional and remote :ACMA Open Cabling Awareness at Heights supporting customers in mining resources utilities or critical communications working remotely and independently in field-based & CULTUREAt BAI we value diversity and welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples culturally diverse communities people with disability and LGBTQIA by our principlesOne BAI Team Customer First Adapt and Learn and Drive Sustainable Growthwe create an environment where you can join usInclusive culture supported by a DEI strategy Champion Network Diversity Council membership and regular focus on development with a performance framework and LinkedIn Learning work options gender-neutral parental leave study and volunteer programs for high performance and peer discounts and novated leasing via SG Fleet.A referral program that reflects our positive is committed to inclusive recruitment.
