Position Description
Objectives
The Team Leader MedicalReception will:
Provide supervision and leadership to a small teamof Medical Receptionists promoting communication and teamwork in a busyfront-line health environment; and
Develop implement and review reception andadministration processes to ensure excellent customer service fostering a safeprofessional and welcoming environment for clients visiting specialists andstaff.
Key Areas of responsibilities

client communication is provided duringbusy periods; and
triage of clients and re-prioritisationof client appointments.

Workplace responsibilities

Provide leadership direction support and supervision to all directreports;
Attend meetings and undertake training asappropriate to the role of Team Leader Medical Reception;
Perform any other duties consistent withthe terms of employments as may be directed or implied from time to time; and
Participate in staff performance reviews.

Child ProtectionResponsibilities
Be familiar with and adhere to legislationin relation to Child Protection and comply with NSW Health Frontline Proceduresfor the Protection of Children and Young People; and
Attend training in Child Protection asrequired.
Continuous QualityImprovement responsibilities
It is the responsibilityof each staff member to be aware of the contents of the policy and proceduresmanuals and work within the principles contained therein.
Each staff members is expected to be committed toquality service and to participate in activities to enhance continuous qualityimprovements in the workplace.

Galambila provides asmoke-free work environment and promotes a no-smoking culture for staff wherethey are encouraged and supported not to smoke.
Employment Arrangements
An offer of employment is subject to a six (6) monthprobationary period and ongoing funding arrangements. A review of performance will be conducted 3months after commencing.
Performance and outcomes will be reviewedregularly. This role has directsupervision of a small team of Receptionists and casual staff and responsiblefor managing and supporting these positions and people. Your reporting linesmay change from time to time at Galambila in accordance with operationalrequirements.
This appointment is subject to a satisfactoryclearance for a police check and a clearance for working with Childrenundertaken by the Office of the Childrens Guardian (NSW).
