About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven leader to manage direct reports within the State Heritage Register Listing team of Heritage NSW.

Supported by the Manager of the State Heritage Register Listing team you will drive the strategic direction and annual work plan to meet program goals and heritage outcomes. You will provide expert technical guidance on the assessment of heritage significance using the Heritage Council of NSW State heritage significance criteria. You will coordinate the preparation of accurate and timely written reports briefing notes and correspondence on a range of listing matters. You will guide the direction for community and stakeholder engagement and attend meetings. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement in processes as well as staff management and development.

About You

Youll have a combination of technical experience and leadership skills. You will make an important contribution to team culture collaborating with the Manager and your fellow Team Leader to drive great heritage outcomes in line with organisational goals.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in heritage history archaeology architecture Aboriginal cultural heritage management or relevant field.
  • Drivers Licence and willingness to travel.
