Job Summary

Saint Ignatius College Riverview was established in 1880 as a Catholic school for boys in the Jesuit tradition. Located within Cammeraigal Country on Sydneys lower north shore Riverview is a leading independent school which delivers a holistic education to both day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

The College is seeking applications from enthusiastic Chinese teachers to join our Languages Department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that help students develop fluency in the Chinese language as well as an understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. As part of a vibrant and supportive educational community you will contribute to a collaborative teaching team access excellent resources and empower students to apply their talents in ways that make a meaningful impact within the College and beyond.

The College is seeking to appoint an outstanding Chinese teacher to a part-time (0.6 FTE) maximum-term contract commencing in Term 4 2026.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following courses:

  • Stage 4/5 Chinese

  • be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW
