About the Role

This role is part of Ruahs South East Tenancy Program supporting individuals who are at risk of losing their private rental tenancies.

Based out of Canning Vale this is a community-based role where youll work one-on-one with clients to prevent homelessness and support long-term housing stability.

• Provide practical hands-on support to sustain tenancies
• Deliver daily living and activity-based support aligned to care plans
• Assist clients to navigate services attend appointments and access support
• Help address challenges impacting tenancy (e.g. financial stress mental health)
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Build relationships with landlords services and referral partners
• Support clients referred via self external services internal programs and fast-track pathways

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday 8am4pm) offered on a maximum term contract until 30 June 2027.

What were looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Experience supporting people with housing instability mental health or complex needs
• Ability to engage and build strong professional relationships with clients
• Skills in delivering practical person-centred support and daily living assistance
• Ability to work independently in a community-based role and as part of a team
• Strong communication organisation and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer and administration skills including Microsoft Office
• Commitment to trauma-informed strengths-based practice and Ruahs values

The following criteria are considered desirable:

• Relevant qualification (Certificate II/III or higher) or equivalent experience
• Understanding of culturally safe and inclusive practice including Aboriginal culture
