Position Purpose of a Domestic Cleaner at Focused Care:

• Carry out regular household cleaning tasks including vacuuming sweeping mopping dusting and sanitising surfaces.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchens bathrooms and living areas.
• Assist with laundry duties such as washing hanging folding ironing and putting away clothing and linen.
• Change bedding and ensure bedrooms remain tidy and comfortable.
• Dispose of household waste and recycling appropriately.
• Keep walkways and living spaces free from clutter and potential trip hazards.
• Promptly clean spills and monitor floor safety.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns within the home.
• Support clients by ensuring frequently used items remain easily accessible.
• Provide basic meal support including light food preparation and meal set-up where required.
• Assist with kitchen clean-up and maintaining hygienic food storage areas.
• Help organise cupboards pantries and refrigerators while monitoring food freshness and expiry dates.
• Encourage our clients to participate in tasks and work in accordance with organisational policies workplace procedures and Aged Care NDIS & DVA Quality Standards.
• Follow infection prevention manual handling and workplace health and safety requirements which includes using cleaning equipment and products responsibly and safely.

Essential Criteria when applying for the position:

• Right to Work in Australia A valid VISA is required to work in Australia and this must be current.
• NDIS Screen Check this document must be cited prior to starting with Focused Care.
• NDIS Orientation Module this module must be completed within 7 days from the start date of employment.
• Suitable vehicle a vehicle that is roadworthy and has comprehensive car insurance should be in place prior to start date. The vehicle must have the capacity to transportmultiple passengers (minimum 1 passenger) in a safe and comfortable manner.
• Drivers License a valid Australian Drivers License (preferred) or International License must be supplied prior to start date.
• Full COVID and Flu VaccinationsCertificate a copy of this document must be supplied prior to start date.
• Current CPR Certificate a copy of this document must be supplied prior to start date.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) a valid WWCC must be supplied prior to start date or alternatively it must be cited within 1 week from the start date of employment.
• Current Manual Handling this document must be supplied before start date.
• 100 Points of ID evidence must be supplied prior to start date.
• National Police Clearance Certificate supplied and current (maximum of 6 months old) prior to start date.
