genU is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Support Worker to join the team. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities and requiring mental health support as they make the transition from hospital to home.

This one is a bit unique it requires someone who is up for a dip and is comfortable swimming with customers!

Please review the roster included to ensure you can work the shifts before applying

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customers life goals and working to achieve them;

• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation housekeeping showering and toileting and medication administration;

• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and

• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What youll bring

• Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;

• Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours- essential;

• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;

• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;

• Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration;

• Significant personal or Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;

• Cert III Individual Support or higher (or working towards one)

• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
