We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker & CommunityConnector to support a woman in her 40s living in Pasadena to live her best life. This role is idealfor someone who can build trust over time maintain clear professionalboundaries and bring warmth humour consistency and confidence to theirwork.

The person you will be supporting is a bright and funnywoman with a sharp sense of humour and big personality.
She values genuine relationships enjoys meaningfulconversation and thrives with support workers who are respectful patient andable to engage authentically while maintaining professional boundaries.
She takes pride in running her own small business enjoysbeing involved in her local community and has a strong interest in AFLfootball whether that be supporting her favourite team in person or on the TVeach week. Family relationships are very important to her and she lovesspending time around dogs and engaging with people she trusts.
Support is most effective when provided by someone who iscalm adaptable emotionally intelligent and able to provide consistentstructure and encouragement.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide support across home andcommunity settings including:
Assisting with personal care and daily livingtasks
Medication assistance and monitoring
Supporting participation in community and socialactivities
Encouraging independence and confidence-building
Providing behaviour support using a calmconsistent and proactive approach
Supporting positive routines and meaningfulengagement
Building and maintaining professionalrespectful relationships
Working collaboratively with family members andallied professionals
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

Confident maintaining clear and consistentboundaries
Able to build rapport gradually and respectfully
Comfortable responding to complex behaviours in a composed manner
Adaptable and willing to try new approaches
Creative in supporting community participation and social connection
Preferred but not Essential Skills & Experience
Experience supporting people with mental health conditions autism and/or intellectual disability
Experience responding to behaviours of concern
Understanding of person-centred and relationship-based practice
Requirements
Applicants must have or be willing to obtain:
Current Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid Certificate
Medication Training
Support required would include at least 1 x sleep over per week which may include 1 x night on the weekend.
Pay & Conditions
SCHADS Award Level 2.1
Casual rate commencing at $43.23 per hour
