We act for the roleThis role works within the Nationwide Visiting Program and is responsible for the delivery of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) program in the community providing a social connection service for older Australians in Australian Capital Territory Tasmania New South Wales Western Australia Victoria and South this role You will train and support the volunteers who will deliver the service to ensure the program is run according to program guidelines and the Australian Red Cross will be assisting with networking with Aged Care Facility Co-ordinators home care providers volunteer agencies and the local communities to promote and expand the you will bringComfortable working in a fast-paced online environment across multiple software platformsMaintain accurate records of all volunteers clients their matches along with their progress through their placementDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including communication with Home Care Package providers and Lifestyle Co-ordinators to facilitate client referrals and matches and to ensure an awareness of community services needs within the broader communityDemonstrated client centred approach to your work and interactionsAbility to support and coach volunteersand connect with the local communitiesDemonstrated ability to work in a virtual teamand support other team membersDemonstrated ability to think outside the box to resolve volunteer and client concernsDemonstrated knowledge and experience in providing programs to consumers from diverse backgrounds and cultures including (but not limited to) First Nations CALD and LGBTIQ.A valid drivers licence is a mandatory requirement for the that act for you while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
