About the Centre

Corangamite Shire operates six outdoor swimming pools - Camperdown Cobden Lismore Skipton Terang and Timboon; and the Mortlake Outdoor Pool in Moyne Shire Council. Whether its a dip to cool off a splash for fun learning to swim or lap swimming users will not be disappointed with the range of activities and programs at each of the pools.

About the Roles

Lifeguard

As a Lifeguard youll help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. Youll be patient focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe. Duties of the role include:

• Supervising a large aquatic space while pro-actively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
• Maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
• Ensuring facility rules are being obeyed whilst at the same time educating facility users about safe aquatic practices
• Carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons the facility and equipment

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $33.77 Superannuation Y benefits.

Duty Manager

As a Duty Manager you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift which may include;

• Maintaining a focus on Big Picture issues Centre wide
• Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Centres Emergency Action Plan
• Working autonomously as well as being an active leader

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $40.38 Superannuation Y benefits.

Team Leader

The team leader is an important part of the facility leadership team. You will manage and lead teams of employees in assigned areas and ensure that the delivery of the programs and services meets agreed standards.

They will lead inspire and motivate teams through clear and achievable team goals and ensure high standards of implementation of Policies and Procedures.

Team Leaders assist the Manager by working as part of the Manager on Duty roster where they provide support to customers and staff across all areas of the facility.

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $40.42 Superannuation Y benefits.

Essential Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
