Student Counsellor

At Immanuel Primary School we are committed to providing education where each child is supported to grow and develop as a whole person.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counsellor to join our school community in a 0.6 FTE position to commence in July 2026.

This role will work collaboratively alongside our existing part-time counsellor to provide emotional social and wellbeing support to students staff and families aligned with the Christian values and ethos of our school.

As a School Counsellor you will:

• provide evidence-based counselling practices and wellbeing support to students across all year levels

• offer guidance and support to families and staff in managing student wellbeing

• collaborate with teachers school leaders and external professionals to support student needs

• contribute to a safe and nurturing school environment that reflects our Christian community
  
  

We are looking for someone with:

• a relevant qualification in psychology counselling or social work (registration with an appropriate professional body is required)

• a genuine commitment to supporting students emotional and mental wellbeing

• demonstrated strengths in communication relationship building and teamwork

• the ability to work collaboratively with staff students and families
