Job Summary



Structural Engineering Consultancyhasan urgent requirement for a Structural Remedial Engineer with anunderstanding of local residential construction.

Easy going team with high volume projectswhere everyday is different.

Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering essential.

The role requiresinvestigatingbuilding and structural defects determinetheir causes and developpractical engineering solutions with theability to take control and responsibility forprojects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of existing buildings and structures to identify defects and deterioration.
  • Prepare detailed inspection and remedial engineering reports.
  • Monitor remedial works and conduct inspections to verify compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Liaise with building owners strata managers architects builders contractors certifiers and other consultants.
  • Prepare fee proposals budgets and project documentation.
  • Ensure work complies with relevant Australian Standards building regulations and engineering practice.

Skills

Minimum 5 years relevant professional engineering experiencein building defects structural remediation or forensic engineering.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports and engineering documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
