Our flagship Sydney campus is uniquely Canva - an extension of our Surry Hills neighbourhood. Its a thoughtfully designed space with plenty of room to collaborate focus and connect.

This role is based in Sydney and were looking for someone who calls it home. Our hybrid way of working gives you the flexibility to work remotely and to come together on campus for meaningful in-person collaboration and connection when it matters most. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What youd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager in Tech Sourcing youll take strategic ownership of a high-value high-visibility supplier portfolio shaping supplier strategy and governance and drive long-term value across some of Canvas most critical technology investments.

Youll operate as a commercial advisor to senior leaders influencing decisions early and shaping how Canva invests in technology. Youll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution - leading negotiations strengthening supplier partnerships and helping Canva get the most from its technology spend as we scale.

At the Moment This Role Is Focused On

• Owning the commercial strategy and sourcing execution across a significant portfolio of enterprise technology and SaaS spend.
• Acting as the trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders shaping supplier and technology decisions before commitments are made.
• Leading complex high-value negotiations developing clear commercial strategies that deliver measurable business value.
• Developing portfolio category and supplier strategies informed by market intelligence technology trends and spend insights to maximise long-term value.
• Building strong relationships with strategic suppliers while establishing governance frameworks that drive accountability performance and value realisation.
• Proactively managing supplier performance renewals commercial risk and strategic relationships across the portfolio.
• Partnering closely with Finance Legal Security and technical teams while leading the overall commercial engagement.
• Raising the capability of Tech Sourcing by sharing market insights improving commercial practices championing AI-enabled ways of working and contributing to scalable operating models.

Youre Probably a Match If

• You have 8 years experience in strategic sourcing procurement commercial or vendor management with a focus on enterprise technology and SaaS.
• You have a track record of delivering measurable commercial outcomes through complex negotiations supplier strategy and value creation.
• Youre a trusted business partner who can influence senior stakeholders and shape decisions before commitments are made.
• You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are comfortable operating in fast-moving ambiguous environments.
• You understand SaaS commercial models enterprise licensing and the dynamics of major technology suppliers and bring external market insight into your thinking.
• You have experience building strategic supplier relationships governance frameworks and performance management that deliver value beyond contract signature.

We partner closely with Product Engineering and corporate technology teams to shape supplier strategy deliver commercial outcomes and make sure our technology investments support Canvas long-term growth.

We manage some of Canvas most strategic technology supplier relationships spanning enterprise SaaS infrastructure and platform technologies. Beyond leading complex negotiations we take a long-term view of our supplier ecosystem - managing risk and building partnerships that help Canva innovate at scale.

• Canvas most strategic suppliers are well governed high performing and aligned to long-term business objectives.
• Supplier risks and commercial opportunities are proactively identified and managed.
• Negotiated value is realised well beyond contract signature through effective supplier management and governance.
• You leave the portfolio and the Tech Sourcing function in a stronger position than you found it.
