As a Warehouse Storeperson you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of Service Streams VRMC contract. This role requires strong organisational skills a safetyfirst mindset excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for receiving storing picking packing and dispatching materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a clean safe working environment.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our Clayton facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive inspect and process incoming goods and materials.
- Accurately pick pack and prepare orders and load trucks ready for dispatch.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and compliant manner (where licensed).
- Ensure all warehouse areas are kept clean organised and compliant with safety standards.
- Manage documentation including delivery dockets manifests and inventory records.
- Support inventory control stock rotation and storage optimisation.
- Liaise with internal teams drivers and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and dispatch.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
About You:
- Previous experience in a warehouse logistics or storeperson role.
- Forklift licence essential MR truck licence preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes including receiving dispatch and stock control.
- Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to safely lift move and handle materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Basic computer skills (email data entry inventory systems).
Qualifications:
- Forklift licence.
- MR truck licence preferred but not essential
- Relevant certificates in warehousing or logistics (preferred but not required).
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WHS standards.
