Reporting to the Head of Innovation Delivery MinAus the Specialist Innovation Business Partner Analyst supports the Business Partnership team to clearly understand and prioritise Asset needs while enabling Innovation Delivery Project Managers to set up initiatives for seamless business adoption and integration into Assets.
The Business Partnering team is responsible for:
- Asset Needs (customer requests) - Identify key innovation opportunities to pursue and support the development of Asset Opportunity Plans in alignment with LoA themes and processes.
- Implementation Success (customer endorsement and support) - Supporting projects in the identification of Asset implementation routes and transition of initiatives from the Innovation team to the Asset for Implementation.
- Innovation Capability (culture and processes enabled) - Build innovation culture and capability within the business own key relationships across the broader business to identify collaboration opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Enabling communication across the Invent team through strong relationships with the Asset and broader Innovation Team (i.e. Ecosystem and Product teams) to promote smooth interactions and alignment.
- Communications Supporting the development production and distribution of regular reports and project-specific materials to represent Invent to the Asset.
- BHP Operating System (BOS is our way of working) - Assisting with BOS routines to support operational excellence in particular comfortable running Problem Solving sessions focusing on root cause analysis and robust actions.
- Business Cases Support the Delivery team with Project document review (primarily IRC documents) prior to initiatives reaching Delivery and raising/resolving any concerns related to use-case valuation framing misalignment with Asset requirements and lack of key deliverables.
- Workshops / Executive and Leadership Meetings Coordinating end-to-end workshop logistics including attendee confirmation travel bookings for external participants room bookings accommodation catering site inductions and distribution of prearrival materials.
As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Adelaide-based (Required)
- Experience coordinating and planning for various teams (preferably experience with Mining).
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise and adapt as requirements evolve.
- Communicate clearly and build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups including site operations technical specialists vendors and innovation teams.
- Proactive solution-focused approach and remain calm and effective when navigating ambiguity or shifting priorities.
- Diligent in applying governance safety and delivery frameworks (e.g. BHP Invent BOS Lean) ensuring documentation and processes are accurate and compliant.
- Strong Microsoft 365 capability (Word Excel PowerPoint Teams SharePoint) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Maintain structured searchable document repositories.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset seeking opportunities to simplify standardise and uplift ways of working.
- Curious about innovation and emerging technologies and motivated by enabling pilots and trials to progress safely and efficiently.
