This is a closed Expression of Interest (EOI) open to team members within the Sydney Homelessness Services team.

Are you passionate about gender equality and skilled at supporting people through trauma-informed strengths-based practice

As a Specialist Homelessness Case Worker you will walk alongside individuals and families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness offering person-centred support that helps them feel safe seen and empowered to achieve sustainable housing outcomes.

You will draw on your specialist knowledge and experience to support people with complex and high-risk needs applying strengths based trauma-informed and people centred approach. Working in partnership with clients colleagues and external services you will help create continuity of care strengthen supports and contribute to positive lasting change.

Youll be a great fit if you:

  • Have qualifications in Youth Work Social Work Community Services or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Have demonstrated experience in homelessness services including supporting clients with complex needs
  • Apply trauma-informed strengths-based and client-centred approaches in your practice
  • Lead through values intersectional feminism and purpose
  • Are passionate about gender equity social justice and meaningful change
  • Thrive working collaboratively and value strong partnerships
