About the Role

As Junior Sous Chef youll play a key role in the daily success of our kitchen. Youll assist in leading the culinary team support food production across all outlets and ensure high standards of quality safety and presentation. From prepping ingredients to coordinating service youll help deliver exceptional dining experiences while supporting the growth of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations and lead shifts as needed
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to recipe and presentation standards
  • Support food production for restaurant banquets and special events
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
  • Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
  • Coordinate with restaurant and banquet teams to ensure timely service
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff providing feedback and guidance
  • Participate in menu development promotions and food displays
  • Manage inventory assist with purchasing and control food costs
  • Report equipment issues and ensure proper maintenance is scheduled
  • Uphold company policies and safety procedures at all times
  • Foster a positive collaborative kitchen culture focused on excellence

About You

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in culinary or food & beverage operations
  • Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications
  • Strong cooking skills across multiple stations and cuisines
  • Passionate about food quality presentation and guest satisfaction
  • Able to lead by example and support team development
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Full working rights in Australia
