Software Engineer

Location: Remote within Australia

Salary: $130000$160000 super

Employment: Permanent full-time

Join an established Australian technology business building secure high-availability software used by customers nationwide.
Youll work in a collaborative product engineering team and own meaningful features from technical design through to production. This is ideal for an engineer ready to move beyond ticket-based delivery and take responsibility for increasingly complex work.

What youll do

• Deliver features across services React applications APIs and integrations
• Own work from requirements and technical design through to testing and release
• Translate customer needs into practical technical solutions
• Contribute to testing observability documentation and production reliability
• Explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery
• Collaborate with engineers product stakeholders and other business teams

What were looking for

• Professional software engineering experience in a product environment
• Strong foundations across APIs data testing debugging and production delivery
• Experience independently delivering features or project workstreams
• A backend-leaning skill set with the ability to contribute across the stack
• Clear communication and the ability to work effectively in a remote team
• A practical understanding of code quality security and maintainability

Experience with TypeScript React AWS SaaS platforms or event-driven systems will be beneficial but isnt essential.
