Site Manager

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Site Manager to join our Qld Construction team based in Cairns. You will be responsible with managing the site construction teams and its activities driving the programming and co-ordination of all subcontractors suppliers and material deliveries to deliver our projects safely on program and to the highest standard.

This role will be responsible for:

• Proactively drive company safety environment and quality policies practices and procedures in compliance with Management Plans and OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
• Coordinate all construction activities on and off site and be in total control of all issues that affect the efficient running of the site.
• Program and coordinate all subcontractors suppliers and material deliveries. Ensure compliance with safety industrial relations and quality assurance requirements and keep the Project Manager updated daily.
• Lead meetings with subcontractors suppliers and the design team to discuss progress work practices and ensure timely professional construction progress.
• Ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents the requirements of local authorities and relevant standards including the completion of all practical completion defects.

Qualifications :

The incumbent in this role will require:

• Strong building experience with demonstrated success in delivering large complex projects in a Site Manager capacity.
• Degree/Diploma in building/construction or other recognised tertiary or trade qualification in a construction related field.
• Sound leadership skills and ability to communicate influence and build effective relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment.
• Proven high level of professionalism maturity and candour in daily work ethic.
