The Opportunity

Bellingen Shire Council has an exciting Capital Works delivery program that will be delivered in the coming years.

Councils annual Capital program is currently in excess of $50M including exciting new projects such as the Urunga CBD upgrade Summerville Road Detour Upgrade Valery and Timboon RRTRP Gordonville Slip Remediation and our annual road rehabilitation program and maintenance.

Reporting to the Civil Project Engineer the Site Engineer will play a key role in delivering major capital and operational projects from scoping through to completion. The role is responsible for supporting Project Engineers and operational staff managing subcontractors and ensuring projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest standard of quality. Youll be involved in every stage of the project life cycle - from planning and design through procurement construction handover and defects management - while ensuring compliance with Councils policies processes and governance requirements.

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering Project Management or a related discipline with demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure project delivery. A degree in Engineering will be highly regarded along with experience in contract administration (GC21 AS4000 or AS2124) estimating and applying NSW specifications. Experience with DRFA or TfNSW projects soil and concrete testing AutoCAD/design software or community engagement will be an advantage. A current White Card and Class C Driver Licence are essential.

To succeed in this role you will bring strong technical capability combined with the ability to manage people stakeholders and contractors effectively. Youll need to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills sound judgement and the ability to negotiate and deliver practical outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills along with confidence in using Microsoft Office and other project systems will support your success. Just as importantly youll be a team player who builds positive relationships and works collaboratively to deliver results that benefit our community.

Annual salary of $98177 to $111904 (plus super and 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance). .
