This is an exciting opportunity for a signalling professional who enjoys sharing their technical expertise while ensuring the safe and reliable operation of signalling assets across the rail this role youll provide specialist technical support conduct workplace coaching and assessments investigate signalling system issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance practices and asset performance.
Queensland Rail is seeking an experienced Signalling Systems Officer to join our Regional Assets South team based in Rockhampton.
As a Signalling Systems Officer youll provide technical support workplace coaching training and assessment in the installation maintenance and repair of signalling systems and equipment. This role also involves conducting inspections and reporting on the condition of signalling equipment and the effectiveness of maintenance practices.
Working closely with field teams and key stakeholders youll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of signalling systems through inspections audits testing commissioning and ongoing maintenance activities

providing technical support to Network staff.
conducting workplace coaching training and assessment.
progressing the implementation and application of quality principles and practices.
conducting technical inspections and audits.
investigating and reporting on signalling systems.
testing commissioning and maintaining signalling equipment.
maintaining all records and associated documentation.
We are seeking to connect with someone who ideally has:
knowledge of signalling systems and equipment including relevant maintenance standards and safe working principles.
experience with maintenance fault rectification and installation of signalling systems and equipment.
ability to identify equipment performance irregularities investigate recurring faults and recommend improvements.
experience in developing maintenance procedures for electrical signalling systems and equipment.
Mandatory requirements held prior to applying for the role:
Current National Drivers License
Certificate IV in Rail Infrastructure Rail Signalling
Cert III Electrical Mechanic Licence
Availability to participate in standby/call-out arrangements and travel away from home as required.
