Were looking for a Shift Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Recycling & Waste facility in Caloundra. In this role youll be the 2IC leader on shift ensuring the site runs safely efficiently and in line with contractual and environmental requirements while leading a diverse team that includes employees with disability.
Every day is different. From coordinating staff and responding to operational challenges to maintaining safety standards and building strong relationships with contractors customers and council representatives youll play a key role in keeping the site operating at its best.

Key duties of this role are to:
- Lead and supervise daily site operations ensuring safe and efficient performance.
- Coordinate staff allocations shift coverage and daily operational priorities.
- Conduct daily site inspections and proactively identify and manage hazards.
- Respond to incidents and ensure accurate reporting including Riskman documentation.
- Coach support and develop team members to achieve operational and safety outcomes.
- Build positive relationships with contractors customers council representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor site performance contractual requirements and recycling targets.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety environmental and quality requirements.

You dont need to come from the waste or recycling industry were looking for someone with strong leadership capability a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for leading people and creating positive outcomes.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Experience leading or supervising operational or frontline teams.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience coordinating people workloads and competing priorities.
- A proactive approach to workplace safety and risk management.
- Confidence working with contractors customers and external stakeholders.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- A current Queensland Driver Licence.
- A forklift licence (desirable) or willingness to obtain one.
You will be required to undertake aFit2Work National Criminal History Check andhold or be willing to obtain aBlue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
