The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join and lead the Production Operations Team based in OSullivans Beach. Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is a leading Australian supplier of steel and aluminium products offering a comprehensive range engineered to meet the demands of diverse industries. In this hands-on leadership role you will lead coach and empower Production Operators across a range of manufacturing areas maintaining a high-visibility presence on the floor and leading by example. Ideal for a leader who understands the physical mechanical and technical demands of a manufacturing environment this role requires close collaboration with Planning Maintenance Despatch and other operational teams to ensure the safe efficient and on-time delivery of products to our customers. We are seeking someone who is passionate about building high-performing teams fostering a strong safety culture maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

As a key member of our operations team youll enjoy working a rotating shift pattern of one week on day shift and one week on afternoon shift along with a monthly RDO.

What Will You Do

With a strong focus on teamwork you will be:

• providing clear direction and oversight to ensure all mill operations run smoothly
• working closely with your team to manage daily operations ensuring they have the guidance and/or support needed to meet workload demands
• identifying practical ways to improve performance and mitigate risks with a consistent focus on achieving on-time delivery for our customers
• overseeing essential administrative duties including accurate payroll processing incident reporting and maintaining operational data
• actively developing the teams technical capabilities to help them progress and master their roles
