About the Role

Our client is a major infrastructure services contractor delivering road asset maintenance and management programs across Sydney under a long-term performance contract with a NSW Government road authority.

This is a senior individual contributor role sitting at the centre of works delivery. The Senior Works Scheduler owns the end-to-end programming of maintenance works from converting work requirements into executable schedules through to coordinating field delivery. Critically this role carries responsibility for how work is sequenced and dispatched: decisions made here directly affect crew productivity network disruption and customer experience across Sydneys road network.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Forecasting and scheduling workloads across multiple maintenance work crews
  • Converting work requirements into realistic resource-matched work orders that account for network impacts and customer experience
  • Planning and dispatching work allocations managing competing work and customer requirements simultaneously
  • Liaising with field staff work supervisors operations centre staff and the Customer and Stakeholder team to coordinate delivery
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with key TfNSW representatives including the Traffic Management Centre
  • Managing all scheduling and administration requirements within the office
  • Reviewing existing scheduling processes and identifying improvements
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and hard copy records
  • Reporting incidents to the Customer Experience Manager in a timely manner

What Youll Need

Essential

  • Minimum 23 years in a similar works scheduling or programming role
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling maintenance works this is the non-negotiable requirement for this role
  • Strong understanding of road network operations and the impact of maintenance activities on customers and traffic
  • Solid computer skills across Microsoft Office suite; Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software

Highly Regarded

  • Background in civil infrastructure or road construction
  • Familiarity with TfNSW performance contract delivery environments
