The position

Were looking for a Senior Software Developer to join FYIs AI and Automation Engineering team playing a key role in shaping the future of AI-powered capabilities across the platform.

As one of the foundational members of this growing team youll have the opportunity to influence the direction of new AI initiatives contribute ideas and help bring innovative solutions to life. Working across automation services intelligent workflows and emerging AI technologies youll help build functionality that delivers meaningful value to accounting firms and supports FYIs vision for the future.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about AI enjoys solving complex technical problems and wants to help define how a market-leading SaaS platform continues to innovate and lead the way in AI-powered functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered features automation services and intelligent workflows that improve client outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions ensuring solutions are scalable secure and maintainable.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges while continuously improving application performance reliability and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Quality teams to deliver high-quality solutions and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

About you

• 5 years experience developing software within SaaS cloud-based or product-led technology environments.
• Strong experience developing applications using and TypeScript with experience working in AWS production environments.
• Experience developing AI-enabled solutions and familiarity with AWS Bedrock AI SDKs or AI orchestration frameworks will be highly regarded.
• Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.

Youll need valid working rights in Australia and the ability to complete satisfactory background and verification checks as part of our standard recruitment process.
