Your New Role and Responsibilities

We have multiple opportunities to join our multi-year program within the Mission Software Solutions team working closely with our Federal Government customer to deliver and sustain mission-critical capability.

In this role you will:

• Lead and contribute to the design development integration and testing of software solutions.

• Work across the full software development lifecycle from early prototyping through to release and ongoing support.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure reliable and maintainable systems.

• Participate in agile delivery activities including estimation sprint planning and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to continuous integration automated testing and deployment practices.

• Use AI-enabled development tools responsibly to support productivity quality and engineering efficiency.

• Provide technical guidance support design decisions and help maintain strong engineering standards across the team.

What Youll Bring to Make An Impact

You will bring experience in Agile Scrum or similar delivery methodologies along with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience. We encourage applications from candidates with relevant industry experience who are ready to contribute in a senior software engineering role.

You will demonstrate a proactive approach strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build relationships across technical and stakeholder groups. You will also bring experience in some of the following areas:

• Full stack software development including Java Spring Boot React and related open-source frameworks.

• Designing and developing secure scalable software solutions and API services.

• Integration with external systems services and data sources.

• CI/CD automated testing and infrastructure as code practices using tools such as Ansible Jenkins and Git.

• Demonstrated experience working in a senior engineering or project environment preferably within multidisciplinary teams delivering server-side and client-side applications.

• Experience with containerisation and modern deployment environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Using collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira Confluence and Git-based workflows.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold an active NV1 clearance with the ability to uplift to TSPV and successfully obtain an OSA. Applicants with an active TSPV clearance are highly desirable.
