We have a temporary opportunity to join the EPA as a Senior Regulation Administration Officer in our Licensing and Permits team. The Senior Regulation Administration Officer undertakes a diverse range of tasks to deliver licensing and regulatory systems protocols and procedures for statutory activities. This includes records and database management responding to customer enquiries and compliance support for enforcement activities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance or licensing administration within a legislative of government environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical or legislative information clearly and in plain English.
- Ability to respond professionally and clearly to community enquiries by phone and email including providing accurate information and managing stakeholder interactions with empathy and confidence.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to manage records data integrity statutory documentation and financial processes accurately.
- Confidence in supporting enforcement activities and preparing compliance correspondence notices and reports
- Resilience professionalism and the ability to manage competing priorities and multitask when dealing with challenging or distressed stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Licensing and Permits team
The Licensing and Permits team sit within the Industry Assessments Licensing and Permitting branch and is focused on developing a modern risk-based licensing and approvals framework. The team supports stronger environmental protection through consistent defensible decision-making and collaboration across the EPA.
