Senior Quality Assurance Associate

Were looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Associate to lead our Quality Assurance team at our Parramatta Creek Processing Facility and help ensure our products continue to meet world-class standards.

About the role

Reporting to the National Quality Assurance Manager youll lead a team of 915 Quality Assurance professionals and take ownership of the sites Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (FSQMS). Youll work closely with production and operational teams while representing Huon during external audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory customer and certification requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership role where youll have the opportunity to influence food safety culture coach your team and drive continuous improvement across the processing operation.

What youll be doing

• Lead and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team.
• Manage HACCP and Food Safety & Quality Management Systems.
• Coordinate and lead external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Oversee microbiological environmental and product testing programs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across food safety and quality processes.
• Partner with operational leaders to ensure quality standards are embedded across the site.
• Deliver training and coaching to support a strong food safety culture.

About you

Youll bring a strong background in food manufacturing together with proven leadership experience.

Ideally youll have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline.
• Experience working within an FMCG or food processing environment.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• HACCP Practitioner and Lead Auditor qualifications.
• Strong communication stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to food safety excellence.
