Job Summary
Your New Role:
Kempsey Shire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Property Manager to lead the strategic management of Councils diverse property portfolio.
Reporting to the Group Manager Commercial Business you will oversee the effective management of Council-owned and managed properties buildings and facilities. The role is responsible for driving property outcomes across leasing licensing acquisitions disposals land development and asset management activities.
You will lead a small Property team while managing a broad range of property and facilities projects from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage property building and facilities projects to achieve quality cost and time objectives.
- Conduct feasibility assessments due diligence and market analysis for property transactions and developments.
- Negotiate leases licences acquisitions and disposals on behalf of Council.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Crown land management requirements.
- Maintain accurate property portfolio data and reporting.
- Provide expert property advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and develop the Property team to achieve high performance outcomes.
- Assist with strategic planning policy development budgets and grant applications.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call roster as required.

About You:To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in property law or business.
- Extensive experience in property management development leasing and licensing.
- Strong project management procurement and contract administration capability.
- Experience preparing tenders and managing contractors.
- Excellent negotiation communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong understanding of work health and safety practices.
- High-level computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- General Construction Induction Card and Class C Driver Licence.
