Job Summary

Due to significant growth we are currently searching for an experienced Senior Project Planner to join our team based in Perth.

The Senior Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist role is critical in all of our project work and will work closely with our Project Managers to build quality project scheduling capability especially in our Resource & Industry team.  They will be responsible for developing and operating project schedules for programmes and major projects.

Day to day the position will involve progressing project reporting weekly and monthly progress reporting (S-Curves for cost and Hours) detailed scheduling cost control and working closely with the document control team to track document issued against plan.

How youll make a difference

  • Manage and be responsible for project schedules from pre-contract to design construction delivery and commissioning across a range of projects both locally in WA and in locations across Australia and New Zealand
  • Develop project phase plans and schedules from project deliverables understanding key activities milestones and resource loading
  • Analyse project cost and hours data to identify trends risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor project progress to identify potential schedule delays early and assist the Project Managers with mitigation strategies
  • Assist the broader Project team to provide AECOMs clients with full end-to-end project management services
  • With a focus on planning & scheduling contribute to the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients whilst developing and enhancing relationships with clients AECOM staff and other stakeholders.

Qualifications :

The qualities that help you thrive

  • 10 years of experience in Project Planning with a proven track record of success in managing complex projects from studies to Execution
  • Background in engineering consultancy is highly regarded
  • Formal qualifications in Project Management Construction Management or Engineering desired
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools and software (Primavera P6 required)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Candidates with experience working directly with the client will be highly regarded.
