You will lead the planning and delivery of complex built formmajor City projects ensuring that they are delivered on time onbudget and to the highest quality in line with the City and Councilpolicies and frameworks and industry best practice and codes. Youwill liaise with the contract superintendents representatives andadministrators as required and be responsible for the creation ofproject scopes specifications contract documentation andschedules. You will be called on to review technicalspecifications drawings and contracts. You will also provideexcellent advice technical leadership guidance and support to theInfrastructure Project Delivery Team and the wider will undertake research investigation and evaluation of newtechnologies products services or initiatives that can deliverincreased level of service or financial benefits along withdeveloping strategies to deliver complex projects within dynamicconstruction environments.
To be considered for this role you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication:
- Well-developed technical knowledge of and minimum five years experience in building construction industry
- Comprehensive experience managing and coordinating contractors for major building works as well as an all-encompassing project portfolio demonstrating budget quality and scheduling success
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality technical project scopes specifications contracts estimates and budgets
- Highly developed skills and proven experience in decision making negotiation facilitation and problem solving
- Advanced knowledge of tender/contract documents and frameworks
- Highly developed financial management skills
- Advanced computer literacy in a range of applications e.g. Microsoft Office (including MS Project) workflow asset management project management and record keeping systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills particularly written and verbal communication and ability to manage a range of stakeholders
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation policies and practices
- Tertiary qualifications in project management building construction or a related trades field
- Professional development in contract construction or project management
- Current C class drivers licence
We are offering a remuneration package from $111967 to$119224 depending on skills and experience and:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
