Synergie Australia is seeking a Senior Project Engineer Waste & Resource Recovery for a trusted client delivering operational and capital projects across sites.
The important parts:
- Pay:$110-$140 per hour Super
- Duration:3-6-month contract (potential for extension)
- Hour: Friday full-time business hours with flexibility for site travel
- Location: VIC Laverton or Coolaroo
- Start: ASAP
Due to the technical requirements of this role only candidates with demonstrated experience within the waste recycling or resource recovery sector will be contacted.
What you will be required to do:
Youll support a nationally distributed engineering and operations team during a critical period of project delivery. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on providing technical expertise operational support and engineering input across waste processing and resource recovery facilities.
- Providing technical engineering support across operational and capital projects
- Supporting engineering activities through design procurement construction and commissioning phases
- Developing scopes of work technical specifications and engineering documentation
- Assisting with site-based engineering challenges and operational improvements
- Coordinating with contractors consultants and internal stakeholders to drive project outcomes
- Supporting engineering risk assessments compliance requirements and safety initiatives
- Reviewing and improving engineering standards specifications and documentation
- Providing practical solutions to technical and operational issues across multiple sites
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold a degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil Process or similar)
- Have 10 years experience in engineering project engineering or operational engineering environments
- Demonstrated experience within the waste recycling or resource recovery sector
- Strong technical engineering capability with the ability to work autonomously
- Experience supporting project delivery from an engineering perspective rather than purely project management
- Practical hands-on approach to solving engineering and operational challenges
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to travel to sites as required
