About the opportunity
Are you a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a passion for delivering infrastructure that makes a lasting impact on communitiesAs ourSenior Project Engineer you will play a key leadership role in the planning designprocurementand delivery of significant civil infrastructure projects that enhance safetyconnectivityand liveability across the municipality.
In this role you will lead the delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects primarily involving roadsdrainageand bridge assets ensuring alignment with Councils Capital Works Program and strategicobjectives. You will provide expert project management oversight across the entire project lifecycle driving successful outcomes through effective planning stakeholder engagement riskmanagementand contract collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders you will ensure projects are delivered safely on time within budget and to the highest quality standards while contributing to the sustainable growth and development of the community.
You will make an impact by
- Lead the planning designprocurementand delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects primarily roadsdrainageand bridge assets across the full project lifecycle in alignment with Councils capital works program and strategicobjectives.
- Managing project scope budgets timelines and quality outcomes and reporting on performance risksand variations.
- Providing expert engineering advice and technical leadership to staff consultantsand contractors.
- Building strong relationships with community members Councillors authoritiesand key stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement through effective risk management innovationand best practice.
Success in this role looks like leading the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects achieving positive outcomes for stakeholders and the community and championing innovative approaches that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualificationin Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Victoriaunder the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
- Significant experiencedelivering civil infrastructure projects including design coordination procurement contractadministrationand construction supervision.
- Provenfinancial managementskills: cost estimating budgetcontroland reporting.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring project teams.
- Current Victorian driver :experience with asset management systems and project controls tools.
