OPPORTUNITY
With a number of exciting projects on the horizon we are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team. This opportunity is based in the Pilbara on a FIFO 2:1 / 8:6 roster with a further project located 300 km north of Perth on a DIDO basis.
Reporting to the Project Manager you will lead the planning coordination and delivery of assigned civil construction works operating with a high level of autonomy and deputising for the Project Manager as required. You will provide technical guidance and mentoring to Project Engineers and site-based delivery personnel while driving contractor management tendering quality and stakeholder outcomes across your allocated work fronts. Previous experience on MRWA and Mining Civil works would be highly advantageous.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- 5 to 8 years experience in a project engineering or civil engineering role including experience in a senior lead or supervisory capacity
- Civil construction experience on mining and/or road infrastructure projects (haul roads bulk earthworks drainage pavements highways or associated civil works)
- Experience leading contractor management construction delivery project reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Relevant engineering degree civil engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Sound knowledge of MRWA standards specifications and authority approval processes
- Valid drivers licence
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- High level of computer literacy: Word Excel Outlook and MS Project
- Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
- Flexible and understanding of regional work rosters and project requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead direct and mentor Project Engineers and site-based delivery personnel
- Coordinate project activities in line with project plans engineering requirements and contract obligations
- Manage tender processes contractor recommendations and contract administration
- Inspect works to verify compliance with engineering designs specifications and quality standards
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients contractors authorities and stakeholders
- Lead project meetings reporting and documentation with accountability for cost time and quality outcomes
- Deputise for the Project Manager on delivery engineering and stakeholder matters as required
