About You
Do you thrive on bringing together people technology and innovation to solve complex research challenges As Senior Program Manager you will lead RMITs flagship digital research infrastructure initiatives RACE (RMIT Advanced Computing Ecosystem) and RAIL (RMIT AWS Innovation Lab) helping researchers unlock the potential of advanced computing cloud technologies and emerging digital capabilities.
Leading a team of highly experienced specialists youll work closely with researchers industry partners and university leaders to translate research ambitions into impactful solutions. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of research computing at RMIT build strategic partnerships with organisations such as AWS and Microsoft and drive initiatives that support cutting-edge research across a diverse and growing research community.
To be successful in this position youll have:
PhD in a relevant discipline such as computer science engineering information technology data science or a research-intensive field or equivalent extensive senior leadership experience in digital research infrastructure high-performance computing or cloud-based research environments.
Demonstrated senior leadership experience managing complex multi-stakeholder programs involving cloud computing digital research infrastructure or technology platforms within a university or research-intensive organisation.
Proven ability to provide strategic advice and influence at executive level on digital research infrastructure strategy investment and policy.
A track record of building and sustaining high-level partnerships with major technology providers government agencies and sector bodies to deliver co-innovation and shared value outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead develop and inspire multidisciplinary teams with a commitment to high-performance culture inclusion and continuous professional development.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for researchers executives and industry partners.
Strong understanding of the research lifecycle and the role of advanced computing AI and data services in enabling data-intensive and translational research outcomes at scale.
