Join SSI Group and bring your payroll expertise to a purpose-driven organisation making a real difference in the is seeking an experiencedSenior Payroll Officer to join our Finance team based in Parramatta Sydney with hybrid working options available. This is a great opportunity for a confident payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment solving complex payroll matters and contributing to accurate compliant and efficient payroll this role you will support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for more than 900 employees while providing guidance across payroll enquiries reporting reconciliations audits and process improvements. You will work closely with the Payroll Lead and broader Finance and People and Culture teams to deliver a high-quality payroll service across SSI the RoleAs Senior Payroll Officer you will:Process payroll accurately and on time ensuring compliance with relevant Awards legislation and SSI policiesManage payroll changes within the applicable pay periodRespond to payroll enquiries with professionalism accuracy and careProcess complex payroll calculations including redundancies long service leave overpayments and underpaymentsSupport month-end and year-end payroll activities reconciliations reporting and auditsMaintain payroll procedures guides and process documentationIdentify risks inefficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvementSupport payroll team functions in the Payroll Leads absenceAbout YouYou will be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge excellent attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with complex payroll will bring:Ideally 7 years payroll experience including experience in a senior payroll roleStrong knowledge of payroll legislation tax superannuation Awards and compliance requirementsExperience working with complex payroll calculations and payroll reconciliationsStrong Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tablesExcellent problem-solving skills and a high level of accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work collaboratively and build trusted relationships across the organisationExperience with SCHADS Award and Dayforce will be highly regardedIf you are an experienced payroll professional looking for your next opportunity in a supportive values-driven organisation we would love to hear from UsSettlement Services International (SSI Group) is a community-based organisation and social business that supports newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential.
