Senior Payroll Consultant

The opportunity

As a Senior Payroll Consultant youll play a key role in implementing our growth strategy and provide a range of payroll services to our clients. You will provide an advisory service on payroll matters in this client facing this exciting offering you will have the opportunity to establish improve and implement new procedures and processes whilst building relationships with both internal and external stakeholdrs. This is a hybrid position based in Warrang Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Payroll Leadership & Compliance: Lead payroll validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity while staying current with legislative changes and delivering induction and ad hoc training updates.
• Process Standardisation & Improvement: Establish consistent payroll procedures across diverse employee groups drive continuous improvements by identifying gaps implementing new processes and communicating changes effectively to stakeholders.
• Reporting Collaboration & Strategic Impact: Collaborate with offshore teams for seamless service delivery generate and analyse payroll reports (e.g. audits STP2) track KPIs like accuracy and compliance and contribute to scalable payroll solutions across multiple projects and clientswith flexibility for global meetings outside standard hours.

Skills and attributes for success

• Payroll Expertise & Technical Skills: Brings extensive experience in high-volume full-function payroll operations with strong proficiency in SAP and other payroll software large-scale ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities.
• Leadership & Implementation Experience: Demonstrated leadership in payroll teams and successful involvement in payroll implementation projects supported by sound numeracy attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Qualifications & Versatility: While formal payroll certification is advantageous but not required the candidate offers a broad and adaptable skill set across varied systems and processes ensuring readiness for complex payroll environments.
