About the Role


Join Melbournes fast-growing Risk Advisory Services team as a Senior Manager.

Youll work closely with Partners and senior leaders to help clients navigate risk governance and assurance challenges in a dynamic environment. This role offers exposure to a broad range of engagements and industries with strong opportunities for learning development and career progression.

BDOs Risk Advisory team delivers contemporary risk solutions that help clients respond to change and complexity with confidence. Our services include internal audit IT and tech assurance regulatory compliance cyber governance program transformation enterprise risk management board governance including AI risk


Our Melbourne team is one of the fastest growing in the market and is focused on building something that feels differentfor our clients and our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver risk advisory engagements under the guidance of Directors and Partners.

  • Lead and deliver large complex projects including fieldwork analysis and reporting.

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors with a focus on risk controls and assurance.

  • Build effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare high-quality client-ready reports and deliverables.

  • Work to agreed budgets and timelines.

  • Coach and support junior team members as part of a collaborative team culture.

  • Play a key role in service line management and actively contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the team.

  • Drive growth initiatives and business development of the practice while working with Partners/ Directors and other service lines across the broader BDO team.

About You

  • Experience in a risk advisory assurance or related role (practice or industry).

  • Relevant tertiary qualification; professional certifications are highly regarded (CA CPA CIA CISA CISSP CISA CISM CCSP)

  • Experience in internal audit tech assurance SOX IT/ cyber or risk and compliance

  • Experience of leading teams with a strong sense of purpose and a track record of coaching and developing other team members.

  • Strong analytical detailed-orientated communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • A people-centric mindset with a passion for high-quality client outcomes.
