Senior Manager, Financial Crimes Strategy & Governance, Response & Reporting (6-month MTC)
Job Summary
The Senior Manager Financial Crime Strategy Governance Response & Reporting (6-month MTC) is accountable for shaping and executing Cuscals enterprise approach to financial crime risk management across strategy governance intelligence response and external reporting. The role provides clear thought leadership on emerging fraud scam money laundering and terrorist financing risks translating intelligence insights evolving typologies regulatory expectations and industry developments into coherent strategies governance frameworks and targeted mitigation actions.
The role leads a team of financial crime specialists responsible for developing and curating highquality financial crime intelligence identifying systemic gaps and vulnerabilities across products and services and ensuring insights are proactively leveraged to influence detection response and control uplift. It plays a critical role in supporting complex investigations and regulatory or lawenforcement engagements coordinating intelligence sharing and special disruption initiatives with internal and external partners and ensuring Cuscals responses are timely consistent and defensible.
The role is also responsible for monitoring regulatory and market developments benchmarking Cuscal practices against industry best practice and advising on required actions to maintain compliance and uplift capability. Through clear accurate and actionable reporting to regulators industry bodies and internal forums the role ensures senior stakeholders are well informed and that insights are effectively leveraged to disrupt financial crime activity.

- Lead the development and execution of Cuscals financial crime strategy ensuring a coordinated intelligenceled approach to fraud scam and broader financial crime prevention detection and response.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for the Financial Crime Analytics & Advisory team including setting priorities planning the team roadmap and identifying opportunities to strengthen Cuscals financial crime risk management approach.
- Determine Cuscals response to material fraud and scam risks and activities including overseeing complex sensitive or highrisk matters requiring needtoknow handling.
- Establish and promote bestpractice financial crime intelligence and analytics capabilities leveraging opensource intelligence industry data and internal insights to proactively identify emerging threats and inform strategic decisionmaking.
- Monitor emerging fraud and financial crime trends typologies regulatory developments and industry practices and translate these insights into actionable advice frameworks and capability uplift initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial crime strategy governance and response activities with a focus on simplification optimisation and automation.
- Lead and support complex investigations working closely with external parties including law enforcement regulators government agencies and industry bodies as required.
- Coordinate and deliver clear accurate and actionable reporting and insights to senior management regulators and industry stakeholders to support informed decisionmaking and effective fraud and scam disruption.
Qualifications :
- Strong understanding of financial crime regulatory frameworks and risk management practices including experience engaging with audit risk or regulatory reviews and translating requirements into practical controls and governance.
- 7 years experience of payments-related products Real time payments card payments merchant acquiring including payment service providers.
- 5 years experience in managing teams in fraud and financial crimes discipline.
- Strong understanding of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing typologies AML laws and industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience in successful internal and external relationship management.
