Your key responsibilities

As our State Taxes Manager/Senior Manager or Director youll join a high-performing team provide trusted advisory services to leading financial services organisations and work directly with clients to navigate complex tax challenges unlock value and drive sustainable business outcomes.

• Manage and grow a portfolio of financial services clients advising on State Taxes issues predominantly in transactions.
• Partner with clients to identify and resolve complex State Tax issues while delivering practical commercially focused solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and develop innovative solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Lead coach and develop talented indirect tax professionals fostering a collaborative inclusive and high-performing team culture.
• Contribute to the growth of the practice through business development thought leadership market engagement and leveraging existing networks to create new opportunities.

Skills and attributes for success

• Substantial experience in stamp duty gained within a professional services accounting firm law firm or revenue authority. Experience in land tax is welcomed but not compulsory.
• Strong technical stamp duty expertisewith the ability to translate complex legislative and regulatory requirements into practical commercial advice for clients.
• Strong leadership capability with a track record of driving market-facing initiatives leading complex client engagements and building high-performing teams.
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation continuous improvement and leveraging technology to deliver better client outcomes.
