Senior Manager Change Lead Customer Due Diligence (Fixed Term) Sydney Australia

The Senior Manager Change Lead (Customer Due Diligence) is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of risk and compliance uplift initiatives to support the design and implementation of customer due diligence (CDD) frameworks under the AML/CTF reforms.

The role will act as the primary subject matter expert in driving the design implementation and embedment of AML/CTF processes and controls with a particular focus on CDD including initial CDD ongoing CDD and enhanced CDD. This will enable the organization to successfully deliver products that are regulatory aligned operationally effective defensible to regulators and sustainable over time.

The role will include the establishment of appropriate governance documentation and stakeholder engagement frameworks while working closely with other risk compliance business and technology teams to design and integrate AML/CTF controls into business processes ensuring risks are effectively managed and embedded into downstream and adjacent operations and decision making.

Role Responsibilities:

Risk & ComplianceTransformation

  • Provide subject matterexpertiseinrisk management and regulatory compliance with a focus onAML/CTF obligationsrelating to CDD under the AML/CTF reforms
  • Lead the redesignand implementationof relevant CDD policiesprocessesand procedures
  • EnsureCDD frameworks and procedurescomply withglobalpolicies regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Liaise withrelevant risk and governanceteams to obtain required approvalsandsign-offs

Change & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end change initiativesrelating to CDD ensuring alignment with enterprise change governance frameworks
  • Provide oversight and coordination across multiple stakeholders including Risk Compliance LegalOperations Business and Technology
  • Develop and execute change plans ensuring milestones risks and dependencies are actively managed
  • Drive adoption of new processes controls and systems across impacted business areas

AML/CTF Process & Control Design

  • Partner withimpactedteams to design and implementfit-for-purpose processes and controlsaddressing AML/CTF risks
  • Define and documentkey controls includingICDD OCDD ECDD andreporting processes
  • Ensure controls are effective scalable and embedded into operational workflows

Regulatory & Audit Readiness

  • Ensureall change requirements and implementationarefully documentedauditableand defensible in regulatory reviews and independent evaluations.
  • Support the localregionaland global compliance teams in their response to findings issues or recommendations relating toCDD.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor tobusinessleadersand otherstakeholderson risk and compliance implications
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to co-design compliant solutions
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical business-friendly controls and processes
  • Manage communication with senior stakeholders including executive updates and decision papers

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelors or masters Degree preferred. Professional certifications in AML/CTF or risk management (e.g. CAMS or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • At least 7 years of experience in AML/CTF working in a regulatory setting will be highly desirable.

Additional Skills:

  • Leadership experience delivering complex regulatory or financial crime change programs within a financial institution or in a similar industry.
  • Deep practical knowledge of AML/CTF frameworks and regulations particularly in the areas of CDD.
  • Strong governance stakeholdermanagementand executive communication capability.

Work Shift
