Whats the role
Youll step into a senior leadership role where youre guiding how 2ndline assurance is delivered across Business and Wealth. Working within the Risk division youll lead independent assurance reviews that help strengthen how risk is managed and how decisions are made. This isnt just about oversight youll bring data insights and practical recommendations together to support better outcomes for customers and the business.
Based in Sydney this is a permanent role where youll work closely with senior stakeholders influence key discussions and help shape the broader assurance approach. Youll also lead and develop a high-performing team in addition to doing the testing fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong technical capability. If you enjoy translating complex risk information into clear meaningful insights and making a visible impact youll find this role both challenging and rewarding.
What do I need
Youll bring a strong mix of assurance risk and stakeholder experience with the ability to turn insights into action.
- Extensive experience across assurance or internal audit
- Experience across consumer or business banking portfolio
- Confidence reviewing risk frameworks and testing process to identify risk and assess control effectiveness
- Ability to analyse data and generate meaningful practical insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Clear communication skills with a talent for simplifying complex information into actionable outcomes.
- Assurance/Audit experience over IT general controls system interfaces and automated controls.
