Are you a proactive analytical finance professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and enjoys partnering across the business to drive clear financial visibility

As the Senior Management Accountant you will drive ongoing management accounting reporting to support informed decision-making by implementing the departments budget reporting approach partnering with stakeholders to deliver monthly forecasting across divisions analysing divisional financial information for whole-of-agency insights identifying and resolving risks and information gaps and producing monthly reports for senior leaders (including Ministers the Secretary and the departmental executive) covering both recurrent and capital spend.

You will also ensure integrated reporting with various Finance teams provide evidence-based expert advice on forecasting outcomes and manage competing priorities during process and system reform.

You are a strategic and analytical finance professional with strong experience in budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.

You bring:

Key knowledge and experience

Essential requirements of the role

  • Degree in accounting or finance discipline and membership of a recognised Australian professional accounting association.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to thevalue of public education.
