Senior Lecturer (Level C) Social Work (Field Education Lead)

As a Senior Lecturer (Level C) you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of social workers through innovative student-centered and practice-informed teaching.

We are especially interested in candidates with the expertise to lead the large field education program across the BSW and MSW.  Reporting to the Academic Lead for Social Work and Human Services and working closely with the WIL Placement Manager and team the role will build on the existing placement partnerships systems and processes required to support high-quality professional placements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on current and establish new sustainable placement models while also contributing to teaching and research in the discipline.

In this role you will:

• Build and manage industry placement partnerships across health community government and related sectors.
• Coordinate all aspects of student placements including preparation matching support monitoring and assessment.
• Ensure placement compliance through effective policies procedures records and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert stakeholder engagement and guidance resolving complex placement and student matters.
• Deliver high-quality teaching applied learning research and industry partnerships to enhance student employability and support future growth.

This is a continuing full time position primarily based at either Griffith University Gold Coast or Logan. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level C range $143418 - $165374 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $167799 - $193487 per annum.

Qualifications :

You are a passionate social work educator who thrives on developing capable reflective and ethical graduates. You will bring:

• A doctoral or masters qualification (or equivalent accreditation and standing with significant professional experience) in Social Work or a related field
• Eligibility for membership of the AASW
• Demonstrated expertise of at least five years in one or more applied fields of practice as well as field education experience
• A strong commitment to practice-informed student-centred teaching
• Experience coordinating courses and contributing to program quality and accreditation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively and embody the values and behaviours that include collegiality and respectful interprofessional practice and engagement
