Senior Java Developer
Job Summary
As a Senior Java Developer reporting to Director Software Engineering youll take end-to-end ownership of meaningful technical challenges from understanding requirements to shipping production-ready solutions. Youll work across backend systems security and cross-platform development contributing to both new builds and the evolution of existing products.

Key Responsibilities
Design develop test and deploy software solutions that meet or exceed product and client requirements
Build and maintain security-focused applications of increasing scope and complexity
Extend and improve existing systems adding functionality enhancing performance and adapting to new environments
Ensure cross-platform compatibility across all deliverables
Monitor system improvements post-deployment and iterate based on performance outcomes
Contribute to architecture database design and technical direction as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
At least 6 years strong hands-on Java development skills with a solid understanding of software design principles data structures and algorithms
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases including design analysis and querying
Proven experience with continuous integration and deployment practices Demonstrated ability to write secure testable and maintainable code
Experience with cross-platform or multi-environment development
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure
Experience with data warehousing or large-scale data systems
Background or interest in application security best practices
This position will be located in Sydney Australia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 2 days a week in-office (may increase to 3 days in the future).
This is a permanent full-time role so candidates should have full working rights in Australia. To be eligible to apply you must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
