An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our Support Office in Kogarah.
Reporting directly to the Head of People Experience and Growth you will play a key role in supporting leaders across our services while ensuring our HR operations run efficiently and compliantly.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational HR with partnering coaching leaders and solving complex people matters.
As the Human Resources Business Partner you will provide end-to-end HR support across multiple services including:
Managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding. Providing day-to-day HR advice to managers on employment matters. Preparing employment contracts variations letters and HR documentation. Coordinating probation reviews and employment changes. Assisting leaders with performance management including coaching managers preparing documentation and supporting Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). Supporting investigations and employee relations matters. Managing Workers Compensation claims return-to-work plans and liaising with insurers. Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation the Childrens Services Award and organisational policies. Producing HR reports and workforce metrics to support business decisions. Assisting with HR compliance audits and record management. Supporting workforce planning and operational HR projects. Managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
You are an organised proactive HR professional who enjoys working independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor. Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle and Australian employment legislation. Experience interpreting modern awards particularly the Childrens Services Award (highly regarded). Experience managing Workers Compensation and Return to Work processes. Confidence supporting managers with performance management disciplinary processes and employment documentation. Excellent written communication with the ability to prepare professional HR correspondence. Strong reporting and analytical skills with confidence using Excel and HR systems. Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. A solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to work autonomously. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (preferred).
Knowledge of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) funding and government grants. Experience within the Early Childhood Education sector. Experience using the HRIS Employment Hero.
